Matthew 25 Ministries
Saturday, April 14th will be the day to volunteer at Matthew 25 Ministries. Please sign up in the narthex if you would like to attend, or see Carol Martin. This is a rewarding and fun way to "give" to those in need. Here is a list of items that we are collecting to donate...plastic containers and lids (Cool Whip, margarine, dip containers, etc.). The containers go to villages in South and Central America for distribution of food and items from larger containers. We are also collecting: medicine bottles (labels removed or left on) and plastic bottle lids (ex., prescription bottles, vitamin bottles, mayonnaise lids, pickle lids, milk and water bottle lids, etc.).
Jackson Area Ministries
We are collecting seeds to support the Jackson Area Ministries seed project. Green Thumb Gardening Project helps people to help themselves. By donating seeds (or money to purchase seeds) you provide support for people in southeast Ohio to plant seeds, resulting to food for many families. People who are supported by this project are people who have lost jobs, senior citizens, families on low income and/or families on fixed incomes.
Seeds collected include: Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Corn, Cucumbers, Herbs, Lettuce, Melons, Peppers, Radishes, Spinach/Greens, Squash/Pumpkins, and Turnips. Please do not bring Seed Potatoes.
