Have you ever wondered, "How can I serve God and this church?" WELL, here are a few ways to do BOTH!
ACOLYTE
You've seen those wonderful people in the white robes. Well, they are Acolytes. They help light the candles before the service and put them out at the end. They help Pastor Johnny with the offering plates and any other time he needs their assistance. You must complete Confirmation class to be an Acolyte.
CHOIR
Do you love to sing? If you are in at least the 8th grade, then you are eligible to join the choir. The choir meets on Thursday nights for practice and performs during Sunday morning services. The choir is a great way to get to know others in the church.
GREETER
Are you a people person? A Greeter is usually the first person someone meets as they enter the church. They hold the door and help them with their coat or other items. Greeters give a bulletin to people as they enter the sanctuary.
MIC ANGEL
Would you like to help everyone hear the announcements, praises and prayerrs on Sunday morning? If you are in at least 3rd grade you can be a Mic Angel.
SCRIPTURE READER
If you can read the Bible you can be a Scripture Reader. What better way to serve the Lord than to share His word with others!
USHER
Do you like helping people? Ushers help people find their way. It could be to a seat for service, the nursery, the church office, a classroom, or the restroom. Ushers also help pass the collection plates each week.
